CARMARK

CarMark Certified is a special pre-owned certified program available only to POADA affiliated dealers. CarMark Certified was developed by POADA and is operated by APCO/EasyCare, a national warranty company, thereby providing claim service throughout the United States.

POADA developed CarMark Certified as a universal CPO program that will complement manufacturer certified pre-owned programs rather than competing with them, while also offering former franchise and independent dealers a CPO program to offer customers. CarMark is designed for ALL types of dealers:

  • Franchise Dealers Dealers affiliated with a major manufacturer often have access to the manufacturer’s CPO program. POADA encourages the dealer to continue using the manufacturer CPO program for those vehicles that qualify. However, CarMark allows the franchise dealer to certify other brand vehicles acquired either through trade or an auction.
  • Former Franchise Dealers Dealers who lost a manufacturer relationship during the recent market contraction no longer have the ability to offer a nationally recognized certified vehicle program. Until now. CarMark Certified provides them an opportunity to compete on a more equal footing with manufacturer CPO programs.
  • Independent Dealers Independent dealers who specialize in the pre-owned market segment can use CarMark Certified as a national brand program. As CarMark Certified gains more and more consumer awareness, this will increase confidence in the independent dealer resulting in more sales.

CarMark Certified is a 72-month/ 100,000-mile in-service date powertrain warranty for vehicles with some OEM warranty remaining. Qualified vehicles are current-model plus four years and have less than 60,000 odometer miles. A separate powertrain warranty is available for vehicles outside these guidelines and have less than 80,000 odometer miles.

Both powertrain warranties can be upgraded by the customer with EasyCare vehicle service contract products, providing additional profit potential to the dealer. CarMark Certified includes a 116-point quality inspection, rental car reimbursement, towing benefit, trip interruption benefit, tire and wheel protection and roadside assistance.
